Racing dragons support good causes

More than £14,000 was raised for good causes at the annual KM Dragon Boat Race.
Teams from every corner of the county took part for causes ranging from school PTA groups and cancer and armed service welfare charities.
Seventeen crew members took part in a minimum of three races with the fastest squads making it through to the finals at the climax to the charity event.
The event was sponsored by Mercy Ambulance Service, who provided first aid services for free and Arethusa Water Sports Centre, Chatham where the race was staged.
The climax to the event involved the three fastest teams, with the RSME Royal Engineers narrowly taking the top slot.
Southfleet Warriors from Dartford,raced for St John Ambulance and recorded the fastest time in the heats but in the final were beaten by the RSME Royal Engineers by 1sec.
The team from Lunsford Primary School came third, just four seconds behind. They were all presented with special dragon trophies.
Three teams made it through to a minor final to settle places in the lower rankings.
The Kingsnorth Paddle Steamers team from EON came first in a time of 1min 11sec, Hamstreet Heroes PTA were second with a time of 1min 18sec and the Age Concern team had a time of 1min 31sec.
