Thank you farewell for bus co-ordinator

The “amazing achievements” of a walking bus co-ordinator have been recognised with a special presentation.
Linda Strong is leaving Leybourne St Peter and St Paul Primary School and has been thanked for her efforts.
She was presented with a Eurostar voucher by walking bus sponsor Bel UK.
Fellow walking bus volunteer Alison Craig said: “Our walking bus was launched in October 2004 and Linda worked hard for months to get the scheme up and running.
“She went on to be awarded the top co-ordinator title at the Walk to School Awards and we were the top walking bus.
“As a reward for setting up the bus she obtained IT equipment for the school and she made the walking bus enjoyable for all the children, by singing songs, early morning breakfasts and reward bags.
“Linda’s amazing achievements will be missed by many.”
As well as the KM Group, the Walking Bus, which is a KCC-led initiative, is sponsored by Denne, Bel UK, Ringway, Veolia Environmental Services, Warburtons and Eurostar.
