Martin Vye - Martin is chairman of the trustees and has been involved with the charity from the beginning. He is a Kent county councillor and is keen to ensure KCC continues to support the KM Charity Team's work in reducing the number of car journeys to school and encourage children to lead a healthy lifestyle.

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

Stuart Smith- Stuart is a consultant with 45 years experience of transport planning, specialising in local and community transport. He has been involved with the charity since 2003, originally representing Thanet District Council. Stuart is also a director and founder of Thanet Community Transport and a trustee of Rochester Grammar School.

 

 

 

 
  

David Bucket - David is treasurer and chairman of the finance committee. He was head of finance at Swale Borough Council before retiring in 2009 after 39 years in local government. David is now a part-time consultant working with the Kent Association of Local Councils, supporting the association's learning and development  programme.

 
 

 

 
  

Sonia Lassnig - Sonia has been a police oficer for 21 years and recent positions have been in the areas of equality and diversity, children and young people. She is currently in an operational role in Tunbridge Wells, managing five teams of neighbourhood sergeants, constables and police community support officers. She leads the Community Safety Unit, a partnership with Tunbridge Wells Council dealing with anti-social behaviour and associated community issues.

 

 
  

Neille Ryan - Neille is a partner at Furley Page Solicitors, specialising in claimant industrial disease and personal injury compensation. He has particualr expertise in miners' industrial diseases, road accidents, accidents at work and injuries involving animals. He has been a KM Charity Team Trustee since 2007.

 

 

 
  

Paul Grout - Paul retired from Kent Fire and Rescue Service from his position as Director, Service Delivery in 2008 after 29 years service. He subsequently gained a degree in Countryside Management from Greenwich University and has been actively involved in environmental issues as a volunteer with Kent Wildlife Trust, Medway Valley Countryside Partnership and the National Trust. 

 

 

 
  

Ivan O'Reilly - Ivan has worked in the voluntary sector for over 20 years and has a postgraduate diploma in voluntary sector management.  He has worked as a youth worker, a teacher, managed community development projects and children and young people’s participation projects and with disabled children and their parents.  Ivan has also sat on a range of charity boards as a member and as chair and is a school governor.  
 
 

 

 
  

Wendy Tetley - Wendy has held senior HR manager positions since 2000 in the public sector and took voluntary redundancy from the Prison Service in 2011 to set up her own business, Achieving Clarity. She is a qualified management accountant and much of her career has been spent leading innovation and change through organisational development. Wendy is passionate about supporting local business and community ventures.

 

 
  

Jill Delahunty - Jill joined the KM Charity Team in 2011 as a trustee. Her interest derives from her background in education and health and social care. She hopes that her experience drawn from working as a teacher, social worker, adult education lecturer and manager in the public, private and voluntary sectors will enable her to contribute helpfully in meeting the aims of child health and safety and protection of the environment.
