Somerfield supermarket at Maidstone has saved the day with a bumper donation of wine for the KM Big Quiz.
Competitors at the event next week will be able to raise a glass as well as raise money for four good causes.
The giant wine and wisdom evening is being held at Maidstone Leisure Centre on Friday, June 11.
Somerfield, Maidstone, which is trading under The Co-Operative Group umbrella, has given 168 bottles of wine to the event.
Quiz-goers will get a glass with their ploughman’s supper and bottles will also be given as prizes to the top teams.
Store manager Michael Boddy said: “Supporting the community is at the heart of The Co-Operative Group ethos.
“We are delighted to be able to help such worthwhile local charities.”
Mr Boddy added that there will be a mix of red called Fab Cab, The Big Chill white and The Pink Chill rose from the Co-Operative own brand range.
Money raised on the night will benefit Trinity Foyer, The Heart of Kent Hospice, the Mayor of Maidstone’s charities and the children’s road safety department of the KM Charity Team.
The price of a table for eight people at the quiz is £60, which works out at £7.50 per person and includes a ploughman's meal and glass of wine.
The KM Big Quiz is supported by Somerfield, Barclays, Shepherd Neame, Newnham Court Shopping Village, Calls4Charities, Maidstone Leisure Centre, DSH chartered accountants and business advisers, P&O Ferries and The Heart of Kent Hospice.
