Information for zip wire participants

Question:  I’ve never abseiled or been on a zip wire event before.

Don’t worry, no experience is necessary, and the professional company we are bringing in to stage the event will take care of you. You will get all the training you need on the day, that is why we ask you to arrive a bit early.

Question: Can I bring my own equipment?

No. the professional company we are bringing in to stage the event will supply everything you need to take part.

Question: What shoud I wear?

Please wear walking boots or trainers (no stilettos please!) and no dangly earrings or jewellery. Dress appropriately for the weather. Jeans, T-shirts and a fleece or jumper are good along with a waterproof for the great British weather.

Question: What if it rains?

The zip wire or abseil will still take place if it rains and this will not affect your safety at all. In the extremely unlikely event that professional company we are bringing in to stage the event has to cancel we will contact you to let you know so please ensure we have your full contact details.

Question: Can my family & friends come along and watch?

Yes of course, there will be a safe area where family and friends can watch to cheer you on. Please ask your friends and family to only park in the designated parking area which will be clearly marked.

Question: Anything other tips?

If you are planning to abseil or zip wire in fancy dress please remember you will be wearing a harness – watch out for chafing!

Important: Sorry, but no one under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be allowed to take part.
