Information for abseil participants
Questions: Do I need to have abseiled before?
Don’t worry, no experience is necessary and the professional company we are bringing in to stage the event will take care of you! You will get all the training you need on the day – that’s why we ask you to arrive a bit early.
Question: Do I need to bring equipment?
No. The professional company we are bringing in to stage the event will supply everything you need to take part.
Question: What do I need to wear?
Please wear walking boots or trainers, no stilettos please! and no dangly earrings or jewellery. Dress appropriately for the weather. Jeans, T Shirts and a fleece or jumper are good along with a waterproof for the great British weather.
If you are planning to abseil in fancy dress please remember you will be wearing a harness to do the abseil – watch out for chafing!
Question: What if it rains?
The abseil will still take place if it rains and this will not affect your safety at all. In the extremely unlikely event that the abseil is cancelled we will contact you to let you know so please ensure we have your full contact details.

Question: Can my family & friends come along and watch?
Yes of course. Friends will have to remain at ground level. You will all need to use a public car park.
Important: Sorry, but no one under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be allowed to take part.
